Venture Teams
These sessions started with establishing dedicated multi-functional teams who were required to identify high potential new internal ventures. The process started with a two day briefing strategy orientation. Each team was provided copies of the software and tutor to enable them to collect the key data and analyze it strategically. Monthly meetings were scheduled to get the teams to report on their progress and assessments of the potential ventures. There was a comprehensive review to assure that the ventures were realistic and had potential to become major businesses. If they were not, they were aborted and new ones created and evaluated. At the end of the process, the venture teams presented their findings to senior management and decisions made as to whether to implement or abort.
The venture teams has a vested interest in the ventures since if the venture was executed they became the management team. This made it a real, not an academic exercises.
We have a complete process on how to create new internal ventures that has been used successfully over the past two decades.

Linking Leadership, People and Strategies
These workshops focus using our unique strategic leadership approach to determine how the management team fits the strategy. There was a two day briefing session using our book Risktaker, Caretaker, Surgeon, Undertaker to educate the team on how leadership types and styles must fit the strategy. Following the session, the team was provided the tools to assess their current management team and make recommendations on changes. Periodic follow up sessions were held.
